After 3.5 years our time at Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth comes to an end. We entered this unique institution with high expectations, but looking back, we can not believe how much our time there has changed our lives, both professionally as well as personally.
During this time we were able to work in our own studio, seek advice of world class musicians, and perform more than 50 concerts organised by the Chapelle worldwide. In addition we also got the introduction to Outhere Music and Alpha Classics with whom we are recording the complete chamber music works for piano and strings by Dvorak, together with Miguel da Silva and Maria Milstein. Highlights include playing Beethoven Triple Concerto at Flagey with Sinfonia Varsovia and Karina Canellakis, our debut in the USA at the The Morgan Library & Museum, and so many others.
We ended our time at the Chapelle with another huge project. Last week we recorded all four trios, two piano quartets, two piano quintets, and the Bagatelles in the space of 6 days in 3 live concerts for Heliox Films. This was an enormous undertaking, and a period we will never forget. You can read more about it in the link below.
But not to worry, in true Chapelle style we will be coming back for a performance on the 5th of October when we will play Brahms and Schumann Quintets with Gregor Sigl on viola and Alexandra Cooreman on violin. We hope for many more happy returns in the future. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the entire Chapelle Team for this time.
We look forward to a new chapter in our lives, with our upcoming move to Amsterdam!
