Our latest album features trios by Ravel and Shostakovich (no. 2). We chose to combine these works because of their similarities in structure, but also because of the time they were written, namely right at the start of the First World War and near the end of the Second World War. Whereas in Ravel you hear the ‘excitement’ of going to the front, one hears the despair in Shostakovich, however even there, there is a wish to fight for a better world. We hope you enjoy our latest album. It’s out in the Netherlands already, the International release date is 20th of October.
